Community Counts – news and resources to help local people
Welcome to the Community Counts column on Hello Lincoln – a round-up of the news from the groups, schemes and organisations that may just be able to provide the support or help you or your family need.
Much of the information in these columns has been supplied by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Partnership, but we’re inviting all groups working in the wider community to get in touch with their news.
We’ll also be running special focus features highlighting the work of organisations helping others in their communities so please tell us about those running in your area too.

This toolkit provides guidance for individuals in any setting on how to support someone who may be considering suicide or whose safety they might be concerned about.
It has been developed by Lincolnshire County Council’s Suicide Prevention Team and the Lincolnshire Suicide Prevention Lived Experience Forum.
It offers a practical overview of how to recognise warning signs, appropriate questions to ask, effective listening strategies, and available resources for support.
