Lincoln’s Live Music Scene with Jo Richards
Exciting news for live music fans this week as new venue, Katie O'Brien's, appeared on the High Street in Lincoln.
It's great to see empty spaces in the town centre swiftly spruced up and relaunched. It was full capacity last Saturday afternoon, with a well-lubricated crowd singing to covers of the Creedance Clearwater Revival.
The Irish bar chain is promoting another full line up, including Gareth Humphreys & the Dirty Martinis late on Friday night.
Congratulations go to The Drill for being named Venue of the Week by Gigantic Tickets who described it as, 'Lincoln's beating heart for live music, culture and community.'
This weekend they host Soul Solution - an impressive 8-piece Soul and Motown outfit supported by DJ Adrian Wells showcasing his vinyl soul collection.
If original music is more your scene, this week's highlights include Future Theory (pictured) at Komodo on Friday with, ‘lavish complex instrumentals and mesmerising vocals’.
The Faith Estate are at The Joiners Arms and you’ll have to get in early and elbow past their loyal fans to get to the front for this one.
