Robin Hood cast ready for a merry panto at New Theatre Royal

The New Theatre Royal Lincoln’s in-house Christmas pantomime, Robin Hood, was launched this week with a preview of what audiences will be experiencing this festive season.

The cast was joined by the Lincoln Civic Party alongside the theatre’s pantomime sponsors, media partners, and invited guests, as well as enthusiastic pupils from Monks Abbey Primary School who got into the panto spirit.

The production promises plenty of laughter, music, and festive fun during its run from Friday, December 5 until Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Audiences can enjoy the heroic adventurous tale of the legendary story of Robin Hood. From merry tavern gatherings to scheming and plotting in Nottingham Castle, the company are set to fire their bows and arrows into another great Pantomime season.

This year’s line-up sees the return of fan favourite Louis Smith MBE, once again stepping into the role of a baddie as the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham.

Natalie Hayes-Cowley, the pantomime’s director, writer, and producer, said, “Being on the stage and the atmosphere made everyone excited for the start of rehearsals in mid-November.

“A huge thank you to everyone who attended the launch and for the ongoing support of Lincoln’s treasured theatre, to which our in-house shows are crucial to its longevity.”

Tickets start at £24 and are available from the box office on 01522 519999 or online at www.newtheatreroyallincoln.co.uk

There will be a relaxed and signed performance on Sunday, December 7 at 1.30pm.
