Talk by wood artist Rob Vashak

Wood artist Rob Vashak will give the first Art Talk of OPAL’s new 2026 season later this month.

From Little Acorns is Rob’s presentation about his wide range of art, sculpture and practical pieces from sustainably sourced local British hardwoods.

Organised by OPen Arts Lincs the talk will be held at St Nicholas’ Church Hall, Newport, Lincoln (LN1 3DP) on Tuesday, January 20 at 7pm. Admission is £5 and can be booked at https://www.open-art-lincs.com/art-talks.

There are a few places available in the Open Art exhibition themed From The Heart taking place at The Indigo Crow gallery February 2-15.

“With a submission fee of only £9 per piece, this is a great opportunity to make an early start in showing your work in a public exhibition,” said OPAL founder Kevin Byron.

Further information and the submission form are available at: https://www.open-art-lincs.com/call-for-submissions.

Kevin is also reminding artists about the Creative Lincs’ Arts Trail on June 26, 27, and 28 which is now in its third year.

“Based on a rapid expansion in venues across the county last year, this is a great opportunity for artists to open their studios to the public, or to exhibit their work in a shared art space.”
