Womanhood exhibition kicks off at LNER stadium
The act of supporting Lincoln City through the perspective of five women can be seen at a Kicking Off exhibition at the LNER Stadium until Saturday.
The month-long Museum of Me Lincoln: Womanhood event has opened with a display on the 3G pitch and captures what the beautfiul game means to women and girls in the city.
Emillia Zirker, community leader at Lincoln City Foundation, said: “We are passionate about supporting girls and women of all ages in football through our development programmes, employing coaches or walking football sessions.
“The Museum of Me offers a fantastic opportunity to share the perspectives of those who have taken part so far."
The exhibition explores what it is like to follow football for five Imps fans.
- Bella Bogg - a first team Lincoln Women player and part-time bricklayer.
- Brittany Bell - operations manager for Lincoln City Foundation who lives and breathes football.
- Jocelyn Croft - a mother of three who found confidence through walking football and is now training to coach.
- Margaret Done - an Imps supporter since 1951 who volunteers on matchdays to support the community.
- Alicia Davis - a community coach and university student who is part of the Foundation team.
Kicking Off is part of a wider month-long exhibition, The Museum of Me Lincoln: Womanhood, which will move around the city throughout March.
