World class violinist to perform in Lincoln
Globally renowned violinist Anne Harvey-Nagl returns to Lincoln next month to perform with the Lincoln Pro Music Orchestra.
Anne visited the city two years ago to perform the music of Mozart with the orchestra and on Saturday, March 7 at 7.30pm, she will return to the Assembly Rooms to perform Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D with Pro Musica.
Anne is originally from Australia but for many years she has made her home in Vienna, where she is the Konzertmeister of the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna Mozart Orchestra.
“She enjoyed playing with Lincoln Pro Musica on her last visit, especially in the beautiful setting of the ballroom at the County Assembly Rooms and was quick to accept our invitation for her to return,” explained secretary Karen Jones.
“The Assembly Rooms is a dog friendly venue. When an audience member asked if they could bring their dog to Anne’s last concert, she was very happy to agree. The dog was very well behaved and, like all the other members of the audience, was captivated by her virtuoso playing.”
The concert will also feature Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 known as The Scottish.
