Advice for Imps’ celebration parade
An open-top bus carrying the victorious Lincoln City FC side will parade through the city centre tomorrow (Saturday, May 9) between 2.30pm - 4pm to celebrate the Imps’ historic Sky Bet League One title win.
The route is highlighted on the map below and City of Lincoln Council has issued the following advice to keep the public safe and avoid as much congestion as possible.
Travel
- Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys in and out of the city
- Consider travelling earlier in the day to avoid disruption
- Use car parks across the city, including less busy locations - view a list of council operated car parks in the city
- Consider using public transport where possible
Crowd
- Respect others and your surroundings
- We suggest agreeing on a meeting point in advance with friends and family
- Please take your time leaving and follow the guidance to avoid congestion
Safety
- Make use of the full parade route
- Keep everyone safe by following all instructions from stewards and police
- Stay on pavements and designated viewing areas
- Please do not enter the road or approach the parade vehicles
- Flares and pyrotechnics are banned
- No drones are permitted in the city centre during the parade
