Award for nurses at St Francis Special School
The nurses at St Francis Special School in Lincoln have been recognised for their work with students and staff.
The group won the Chair's Compassion and Respect Award at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Staff Awards. Nurse Team leader, Julie Smith was then invited to discuss and showcase the work they do with the school at an NHS board meeting.
The nursing team at St Francis is a vital part of school life as it supports a high number of students with complex medical needs.
In order to help the team win the award pupils at St Francis made a video explaining to the judges how kind and caring they are.
Head of School, Kelly Bradley, said: "We already knew they were the best, but it's great that they have received the recognition they deserve. We are so proud of them."
