Castle light show launches tonight

Lincoln Castle Illuminated starts tonight.

The light spectacle is returning bigger and brighter giving families the chance to enter a winter wonderland through the castle gates.

Featuring twinkling lights, fairground rides and festive cheer, the venues also has the magical ice palace – the perfect place to take a festive family photo, or climb aboard the new and enhanced ‘Christmas Express’ ride and enjoy an enchanting journey through an avenue of lit Christmas trees.

For a special view be sure to climb the medieval walls. Sparkling with 38,000 individual lights, the walls offer views of the light sculptures below, as well as of the cathedral and across the city.

Lincoln Castle Illuminated runs every Wednesday to Sunday until Tuesday 23 December Tickets start from £3.
