Could you become a police constable?
Recruitment has opened for police constables in Lincolnshire to maintain safe levels of policing across the county.
The force continues to face funding challenges, which are still being challenged by police chiefs, but the Home Office came up with additional cash earlier this year after recruitment was put on hold.
Chief Constable Paul Gibson said: “Financial constraints forced us to pause police officer recruitment and cancel an upcoming student officer intake earlier this year. Since then, we have been offered a £5.7m financial support package from the Home Office that means we are now again able to recruit police officers in order to maintain a head count of 1186 officers and also allows us to maintain our numbers of PCSOs for this financial year.”
Successful candidates will be considered for our March 2026 intakes, and once these are full for any future intakes during 2026/27 which are yet to be confirmed.
