EV charging hub coming to Lincoln

EV charging hub coming to Lincoln

Lincoln drivers are set to benefit from a new electric vehicle charging hub and quick-service food stop on the edge of the city.

Planning permission has been granted for 15 EV charging points, including two accessible spaces, alongside a single-storey ‘Grab & Go’ unit next to Damon’s Restaurant, in Doddington Road.

The scheme is being brought forward by London-based Capital Developments Group and will provide a stop for motorists needing to recharge their vehicles while grabbing snacks or drinks.

The site, visible from the busy A46, will also include digital signage, a sign pylon, 22 parking spaces, and landscaping improvements.

The new unit, around 1,575 sq ft, will offer seating, a prep kitchen, and quick access for customers, with deliveries and staff access handled separately at the rear. The building will be finished in modern grey cladding with large corner windows for natural light.

Local planners welcomed the scheme, noting it provides essential EV charging facilities in a convenient location, without competing with nearby restaurants.
