Lincoln UTC results reflect students’ hard work

The majority of Lincoln UTC students achieved grades between A* and C in this year’s A Levels.

The results reflect hard work and determination across a challenging academic and technical programme, said Principal Stuart Hamer.

“Particular congratulations go to Kayden Pang and Draven Clarke, who between them achieved an exceptional set of results: four A* grades, three As, and a B. Watching them open their results this morning was a delight, and a reminder of the pride these milestones bring to students, families, and staff alike.”

Finlay Ingram achieved a merit in his T Level course and is heading to Cumbria to do a degree apprenticeship in engineering at BA systems.

“Lincoln UTC pushed me to achieve the grades to get on my desired course and broadened my horizons when it came to my career choices.”

CJ Goodwin Achieved A*, A, B, B and will be studying neuroscience at Kings College in London. “The teachers at Lincoln UTC have always gone above and beyond and given their time which has help me achieve the results I needed to study my course.”

Mr Hamer added: “Around one-third of our sixth form students choose to specialise in engineering. They either study a triple A-Level equivalent BTEC qualification or complete a T-Level in Engineering. Once again, our BTEC Engineers have excelled, with 93% achieving at least a Merit grade and 57% securing Distinction grades.

“2025 marks only the second year that Lincoln UTC students have completed a T-Level in Engineering. We have been proud to see these students grow in confidence, apply their skills in real industrial settings, and receive positive feedback from employer partners on their problem-solving and adaptability.”

Lincoln UTC is a specialist college for engineering, science, technology and maths, in partnership with industry and the University of Lincoln.

Students join Lincoln UTC in either year 10 or year 12 to study a range of GCSEs, BTECs, T Levels and A Levels. A small number of year 12 places are still available for September 2025.
