Man arrested after suspected stabbing

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was found with a suspected stab wound at an address in Sturton-by-Stow.

Firearms officers were dispatched to an address on Queensway after an emergency call at around 5.30pm on Saturday.

They found a man in his 30s with what is believed to be a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.  A knife was also recovered at the scene.

Officers remained at two properties in Queensway on Sunday and residents can expect a continued police presence while they make enquiries.

Police are now appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in or around Queensway on Saturday afternoon, or for anyone with information about this incident, to get in touch.
