Man charged with attempted murder

Shibu Mathews, 51, of Sincil Bank, Lincoln, has been charged with attempted murder.

Police were called to a report of a woman being stabbed at a property in Sincil Bank, Lincoln, at 12.54pm on Wednesday, August 27. 

Officers were deployed and medical assistance was administered to the woman at the scene, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition. The people involved are known to each other.

Mathews appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court yesterday, when he was remanded into custody until a later court appearance.
