Man charged with dangerous driving

A 58-year-old driver has been charged after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision. 

Police were called to Coleridge Gardens, Lincoln, on Saturday morning (September 6) following a report of a collision involving a Renault Captur car and a pedestrian. 

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. 

Steven Long, 58, of Queen Elizabeth Road, Lincoln, has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. 

He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Monday and has been remanded ahead of his next appearance.
