Man dies after arrest

A man in his 30s died yesterday morning after becoming unresponsive in the custody suite at Lincoln’s South Park Police Station. 

The man was taken to hospital where he subsequently died at 8.40am. His family has been made aware. 

The man had been arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning. 

Lincolnshire Polce has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) which will investigate the circumstances of the man’s death.
