Moor Lane roadworks start October 24

Moor Lane roadworks start October 24

Works to improve a 250m section of Moor Lane will start on October 24 which will see its closure for up to nine days.

The area will be resurfaced due an increase in potholes and cracks, which will lead to the road becoming unsafe if action is not taken.

The work along Moor Lane, at its junction with Lincoln Road to roughly 70m past its junction with Ravensmoor Close will take for up to nine days including weekends.

The diversion for the 24/7 road closure will be along Lincoln Road / Hykeham Road / Newark Road / Moor Lane, and vice versa.

Karen Cassar assistant director for highways for Lincolnshire County Council said: “We’ll be doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum, particularly carrying the works out during half term. However, that means a 24-7 road closure will need to be in place so we can ensure the scheme is finished when school restarts.

“In the meantime, I want to thank everyone for their patience and for bearing with us.”
