More drink/drugs driving arrests
A total of arrested 56 people have now been arrested in December on suspicion of drink/drug driving offences.
Police are reminding motorists that driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs impairs your judgement and ability to drive safely.
“You risk injury or death to yourself, passengers and other road users. You could not only ruin Christmas, but also lives,” said a spokesperson.
Here are more reasons not to drink or drug drive:
- a criminal record
- a large fine
- losing your job
- losing your licence
