Red Rebels city centre action today
Activist group Red Rebel Brigade will be in Lincoln city centre today to mark the deaths of 20,000 children in Gaza.
The international performance troupe is dedicated to highlighting the global climate crisis and is affiliated to Extinction Rebel expanding to have groups in cities and towns all over the UK.
Today’s Red Rebels Action is a call to stop the genocide in Gaza and will start at the Mint Lane hub at 2pm and parade through town to arrive at Lincoln MP Hamish Falconer’s office on St Mary’s Street at around 2.40pm.
“Join the Red Rebels as we mourn and honour the 20,000+ children killed in Gaza over the past two years. We will process down the High Street and into Cornhill, pausing to reflect and read some of their names,” said Rosemary Robinson of the Lincoln group.
“The procession will end with a short vigil at the office of Lincoln MP Hamish Falconer, where we will hand in a letter demanding that the UK Government stops arming Israel and ends their complicity in the genocide.”
