Schools’ admissions change proposed
Parents could get more choice in the schools available to their children under proposed changes to the admissions system.
Lincolnshire County Council is carrying out a consultation on changes to its admission arrangements for local authority-maintained schools and the co-ordinated schemes from the 2027-28 academic year.
The council is proposing to give families the option to list up to four preferred schools in future, up from the current three, giving them more flexibility when selecting preferred schools.
The consultation runs until November 12. For further information and to take part, visit www.letstalk.lincolnshire.gov.uk/school-admissions-2027-28
