Three arrested after fatal crash

Three people have been arrested in connection with a fatal collision in Blankney on December 16.

A 59-year-old man was killed in the crash involving a tractor and a green Ford Kuga at around 1.39pm on the B1189 Martin Road almost directly outside the entrance to Barff Farm.

A 62-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, and a 61-year-old woman have been questioned and have been released under investigation.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene and the female passenger sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital. The man’s family are aware and they are being supported by specially trained officers.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen either the JCB Fastrack tractor registration SN08 ESF with blue trailer, or the green Ford Kuga registration AE75 JKX prior to the collision, and who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage.
