We’re App-y! 200,000 views and a new app

What a week!
On Monday we reached the magical milestone of 200,000 views for this website – actually it was 201,000 and we are counting.
On Wednesday we welcomed Lily Bowen and Katie Seller (main picture) to the Hello Lincoln team.
And today, Friday, we’re launching the new Hello Lincoln app.
Oh and on Tuesday we sent the October edition of our sister publication, the Lincoln Independent to press.
PHEW!
I keep saying ‘we’, but what we do is really all about you, the readers, advertisers and contributors.
You’ve helped us achieve the 200,000 milestone and now YOU have your very own Hello Lincoln app, so you can stay in touch easily with what’s happening across the wider Lincoln community.

Our ambition has always been to be the best platform possible for all things Lincoln and that is where Lily and Katie come in.
They are joining us for the next few months as paid interns from the University of Lincoln to help us increase our coverage of our beautiful city.
We’ll tell you more about them in the coming weeks, but we already have them working at Lincoln Book Festival and you’ll be seeing them out and about on other assignments soon.
We’ve no doubt that Lily and Kate will be fabulous assets for our coverage, but it’s vital the public informs us of the stories in their communities.
