
Sincil Bank update
Highways chiefs have issued an update for the Sincil Bank rejuvenation project.
The £3m improvement works to the area started in September 2 and are scheduled to last six months and Lincolnshire County Council is keeping residents’ informed of progress each month.
December works included:
- Replaced damaged kerbs and resurfaced footway on both sides from Ripon Street to Kirkby Street
- Excavated and installed two new build-out areas and pedestrian crossing areas near Ripon Street and Kirkby Street
- Installed new gully pots along the route from Ripon Street to Kirkby Street
- Carried out repairs to the existing drainage system
Going ahead in January:
- Replace damaged kerbs and resurface the footways on both sides from Kirkby Street to Scorer Street
- Re-lay some of the existing channel blocks
- Improve existing crossing point at Hood Street
- Carry out carriageway resurfacing works
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- 24/7 closure from Kirkby Street to Scorer Street
- Diversion route is via Cross Street and Ripon Street
- Road closure for resurfacing works at Kesteven Street
