Uniform swap rail at library
Has your child outgrown their school uniform?
A summer scheme at Lincoln Central Library will allow families to swap or donate outgrown or uniforms and, hopefully, take home suitable replacements.
Lincolnshire Sustainable Fashion Forum will be organising a School Uniform Swap Rail at the library between July 19 and August 16.
“Bring along your outgrown school uniform, add it to the rail and take away some new clothes for your child, ready to go back to school,” said a Forum spokesperson.
“If there’s nothing taking your fancy when you drop off your preloved piece, visit the rail throughout the month to see what’s been added.”
Items to be swapped need to be in a clean, wearable condition and only uniform pieces will be accepted, but these can be school-badged or non-logo pieces.
The scheme will not use the Forum’s usual token system but operate on an honesty method of one in-one out.
