Lincoln’s popular 1940s Weekend is set to take place on July 19 and 20, bringing a range of historical-themed activities to the city’s Cathedral Quarter and other locations. Visitors can also experience traditional games, a vintage fairground, and pop-up street theatre. A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast is scheduled, subject to weather conditions. A highlight of the weekend will be the return of Winston Churchill impersonator Derek Herbert, known for his portrayal of the wartime leader. Attendees are encouraged to wear 1940s-style clothing, with prizes awarded for the best-dressed individuals and businesses. The event, organised and funded by Lincoln BIG, will run from 10am. to 5pm. on both days.
