Listen to Lincoln band’s debut single

Take a listen to I Do – the debut single by Lincoln Grunge band Iodine.

Marcus Annable (lead vocals and lead guitar), James Clay (background vocals and rhythm guitar),

George Plewes (bass) and James Frances (drummer and background vocals) got together late in 2021 and their Grunge sound also dips into punk, metal, nu metal and blues.

The single I Do is released on April 12 and is taken from the forthcoming EP Sonder out on April 30.

Marcus said: “We wanted a powerful, catchy, melodic and big sounding song that our fans can sing and head bang to. But being dynamic in a way where you don't know where it’s going.

“Lyrically it’s a song about a marriage but it’s a hopeless love relationship. The verses are tender and sweet, while the chorus is huge with two words ‘I Do’ which are open to interpretation.”

Iodine is hoping to tap into fans of the band’s influences - Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Motorhead, Korn and Primus.

Marcus added: “We hope this song can reach out further in this country and abroad. A song which anyone can either relate, casually listen to or rock out to.”

The band can be seen live on Saturday, May 3 at The Drill, Lincoln, paying their biggest gig to date supporting The 900, a Tony Hawk Soundtrack Tribute Band.
