Mel’s portrait of an artist
Mel Langton’s work has become instantly recognisable in Lincoln in recent years.
She is now an award-winning city-based professional designer and illustrator who specialises in creating vibrant and uplifting artwork telling unique stories.
Her eclectic art projects have included empowering portraits, product design, live artwork, art trails and community art design.
Find out at the next Art Talk how Mel turned her love of art into full-blown careers, which also includes creating personal work for solo exhibitions and becoming the joint-owner of a gallery.
Her presentation, Telling Stories, will be held at St Nicholas’ Church Hall on Newport tomorrow (Tuesday, April 22) at 6pm.
She will share her unique art journey, including how playing a full contact sport played a pivotal role in her career – she skated with the Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls for six years and her derby name was Total Melfunction.
Admission at £5 can be booked at https://www.open-art-lincs.com/art-talks
