Kickstart a career in health
From medicine to midwifery, psychology to paramedic science, there are so many ways to start - or further - a career in health at the University of Lincoln.
The university’s upcoming Health Courses Open Campus is a showcase to help people take their first steps start in the sector and those already working in the industry take their career to the next level.
Taking place at the university’s Brayford Pool Campus on this Saturday, April 5, the Open Campus is a to learn more about the wide range of health-related courses and the different entry routes to them from apprenticeships and traditional undergraduate courses, through to postgraduate provision and post-registration programmes.
The University of Lincoln is proud of the role its graduates and researchers play in supporting the local healthcare sector - whether its through its graduate nurses, who operate across a range of settings; or the Lincoln Medical School which recently celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of doctors.
Jamie Read, Dean of the Lincoln Medical School, said: “Careers in healthcare are extremely rewarding and give individuals the opportunity to make huge differences to individual patients and the wider community. This event will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the healthcare field and the courses on offer.”
The event will be hosted in the Isaac Newton Building from 10am to 12pm, with tours of the university’s clinical suites running throughout. Attendees can also speak to expert teams about practice placements, fees and funding, admissions, personal statements, interviews, and student support.
Those wishing to attend can book their place via the University’s website.
