MP welcomes Hello Lincoln website
City MP Hamish Falconer has welcomed the launch of the Hello Lincoln community website today (Friday, September 13).
The MP told Hello Lincoln Editor Amanda McSorley that he wanted to be a ‘fierce’ champion for Lincoln when they met ahead of the site’s midday launch.
“It’s just what the city needs. You’re an important conduit to the city and ultimately, I feel I need to be constantly talking to the city. I don’t want to bore people rigid, but if I’m doing things they feel have consequences for them, then it’s my job.”
The wide-ranging interview included the MP’s aspirations for affordable housing, devolution, how Lincoln develops and generally getting a good deal for the city.
“I feel a bit like my role is to be quite fierce on behalf of the city on the things that we need.”
