The search for Alex – Part 1

Alex Bracken took his life in 2023.

Described as popular, kind, and thoughtful Alex left a huge impact on anyone who met him.

He had last been seen at the family home just outside of Lincoln before he went missing last October and when his parents, Wayne and Jayne, had not seen him for a couple of days, they called Lincolnshire Police to report his disappearance.

One year on from Alex’s tragic death they have spoken to the force about the search for for their son and what they went through before he was found.

The videos also feature those within Lincolnshire Police who conducted the search for Alex to explain what they did and when.

“They hope that this video will help someone, somewhere and we would encourage people to share this far and wide,” said a police spokesperson.

“We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Alex’s parents for taking the time to speak to us and for being so candid.

“This video is by no means an exhaustive account of everyone who contributed to the search effort.

“Dozens of people went above and beyond, working extra hours to search for Alex. And without them, we would not have succeeded.”
