Do you recognise this man?

Police investigating reports of rogue traders operating in Lincoln have issued an image of man they want to question.

Officers are looking into an alleged scam when an elderly resident had been charged for unrequired work on Tuesday, May 13. The resident was told that they needed roof repairs by someone purporting to be a professional roofer who climbed on the roof and raised tiles causing damage.

The suspect was challenged by another resident and left in a vehicle. The elderly resident had already handed over payment.

Two people were seen driving a white Toyota van on Saxon Way in Lincoln who police believe might have vital information to the investigation.

“We have carried out numerous lines of enquiry and are now reaching out to the community to assist in identifying the man in this image who we believe might have information to assist our investigation. He is described as a white man with short dark hair, of medium build, and was wearing a high visibility yellow jacket.” Said a police spokesperson.

“If you recognise this man or have doorbell or dashcam footage of him or the white van in the area, please contact us.

“Please continue to share messages relating to potential scams with your neighbours.
