Fleeing suspect caught by drone

The black and white thermal drone image above shows the hiding place of a 27-year-old man who was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning after he failed to stop the car he was driving for police in Lincoln.

The second image below is taken from body worn video camera showing PD Nero barking hello to the driver and encouraging him to get up and walk towards officers.

They had first spotted the blue Vauxhall as the suspect was driving without any lights on Monks Road, Lincoln. A pursuit was authorised, which lasted just 10 mins as the driver continued to refuse to stop and drove around the Monks Road and north area of the city.

He was apprehended after he abandoned the car on Graham Taylor Way but was quickly and easily spotted by a police drone and almost immediately after sniffed out by PD Nero. 

He was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply and remains in police custody.
