Lincoln murder inquiry
Police have launched a murder investigation this morning (December 9) following the death of a 55-year-old man in Lincoln.
Officers attended Carholme Road just before 11.30pm yesterday (December8) and discovered a man with serious head injuries.
He died at the scene and his family have been made aware.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
A scene guard is likely to remain for some time and, as a result, police have closed the stretch of road from the A46 to Carholme Road.
