Lincoln Repair Café returns this summer
Residents looking to reduce waste and breathe new life into broken items will have two opportunities this summer to visit the Lincoln Repair Café.
As part of the Plastic Free Lincoln initiative, the volunteer-run Repair Café will be holding events in June and July, offering free repairs for a range of household items. Skilled volunteers, known as “fixers,” will be on hand to help repair electricals, clothing, textiles, toys, jewellery, and small furniture.
The next session takes place on Sunday 22 June at Lincoln Toy Library, from 2pm to 4pm. A second event is scheduled for Saturday 13 July, from 10am to 12pm, at Hartsholme Country Park.
Organisers are encouraging residents to get in touch in advance if they have an item they’d like to bring along. This allows them to match the item with an appropriate fixer. Those interested should email
The Lincoln Repair Café is part of a growing movement that aims to reduce landfill waste, promote reuse, and support community skill-sharing. All repairs are offered free of charge, though donations are welcome to help cover costs.
More information about Plastic Free Lincoln and upcoming events can be found through local environmental networks and community groups.
