Something for the weekend – Naughty Night Market at Southside
The first Naughty Night Market of the year will be held this Sunday, 6-9pm.
Organised by Southside and Inappropriate Bunting the event is marking its second year at the former St Katherine’s Church on Colegrave Street, Lincoln.
Nearly 800 people attended the market in December over three hours and this Sunday you can expect local vinyl DJs, lots of new stalls inside plus pizza, loaded tater tots and Spanish food outside, plus free parking across the road on the South Common.
Haven’t been before? Naughty can mean many things; risqué crafts and toys yes, but also sweet treats, jewellery, clothing, gifts, prints and stickers, taxidermy, pottery, and everything in between.
“It is simply that everything is of a slightly alternative nature to what you see at other arts / craft markets locally,” said Operations Director Emily Nichol.
Of the 45 traders in total attending 80% are local and independent, 20% are also independent but have travelled from all over the UK, including Scotland.
