
Nettleham Co-op stays closed after fire
The Coop’s Nettleham Food Store and Post Office remain closed due to a fire at the site, on Thursday, April 17.
Lincolnshire Co-op staff are working with experts to assess the extent of the damage to the building to a plan for re-opening but they anticipate services will be closed for a number of weeks.
“We aim to be able to support the community with alternative arrangements and will be making announcements on how we do this in due course,” said a spokesperson.
“We are meeting with colleagues to discuss how we can support them and offer redeployment opportunities while the premises are closed.
“We apologise for any inconvenience the closure causes and thank our customers for bearing with us.
Other Co-op outlets nearby are the Welton Food Storeand Post Office; Dunholme Food Store; Cherry Willingham Food Store and the Carlton Centre Food Store and Post Office.
The Co-op is also working with tenants at the site that operate neighbouring units.
Mad Dogs Wing House at the rear of the building reopened on Friday April 18, but Flowers By Design florist, Oriental City takeaway and The Green Turkish Barber are in being helped with reopening or relocation.
