Police need vital witnesses to Carholme Road collision
Police investigating a serious road collision on Tuesday, May 13, in which a woman received head injuries, are urging vital witnesses to come forward.
The collision occurred at around 8pm on a pedestrian crossing on Carholme Road, Lincoln and involved a female pedestrian and a red Peugeot 107 car.
“Enquiries conducted thus far have led us to believe that there were two other vehicles that were travelling on Carholme Road directly behind the red Peugeot, when the collision occurred; one of which was a small dark hatchback type car that is believed to be a Seat Ibiza or Leon, which left the area shortly after the collision occurred,” said a police spokesperson.
“The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing directly to the driver of this small dark hatchback type car to come forward. The driver of this car may have information that is important to the investigation.
“Did you witness the collision? Were you travelling in the area at a similar time, do you have a dashcam in your car that may have captured the collision or vehicles travelling in the area?”
The woman, in her 50s, was walking two dogs and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with serious head injuries.
