
Prince Edward visits RAF Waddington.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, visited RAF Waddington last week to present a new Standard to 51 Squadron.
The Duke made the presentation in his role of Honorary Air Commodore and was was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire Toby Dennis.
Once a battlefield rallying point for military until today’s Squadron Standards are symbols of unity and paraded on special occasions such as Remembrance Sunday. New Standards are presented every 25 years.
