Round-up of election candidates
TWO elections will be held on May 1 that will impact the people of Lincoln.
All of the seats on Lincolnshire County Council are up for grabs including the eight divisions in the city – see a list of candidates below.
Voters will also need to decide who they would like to see at the first mayor of Greater Lincolnshire with powers over services under housing and transport and an annual budget of £24m.
The Mayor of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA) will serve the people of Lincolnshire County, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Councils.

- Sally Horscroft - Green Party, campaigned on environmental issues in local and national elections since 2016.
- Andrea Jenkyns – Reform UK, a former Conservative MP from 2015–24.
- Marianne Overton – Independent, a Lincolnshire County and North Kesteven District councillor and leader of the Lincolnshire Independents.5
- Jason Stockwood – Labour, businessman and co-owner of Grimsby Town FC.2
- Rob Waltham – Conservative, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council since 2017.1
- Trevor Young – Liberal Democrats, Leader of West Lindsey District Council

Voter ID
- Photographic identification will need to be shown at polling stations to get a ballot paper. Methods of ID include passports, driving licences, Blue Badge and identity cards issued through the Proof of Age Standard Scheme (PASS card). People without any of the above can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate apply via www.gov.uk by 5pm on April 23.
- Voter registration deadline is April 11 (midnight)
- Postal application deadline is April 14 (5pm)
Elections for a third of City of Lincoln Council seats are held every year apart from when the county council elections are held, but the polling process is run by the city authority.
