Skubala sends message to fans

Michael Skubala, head coach for Lincoln City FC, is calling on fans to give the Imps a boost by getting behind the team at home right from the first game of the season. 

“We now know the fixtures for next season, and I'm sure it'll be a great occasion on Saturday 2 August when we play Reading. There's always a lot of excitement for the first game and we're already looking forward to it.

We've been back in pre-season training for a week now. We've had double sessions as we want to ensure the lads have the right level of fitness for a long campaign, but we've also had plenty of time out on the pitch working on the principles of how we want to play this season. We want to play an entertaining and dynamic type of football, especially at home.

After an intense week of training we start playing some behind-closed-doors friendlies next week. The minutes each player will get will increase as we get through pre-season, head to Portugal for warm-weather training and start playing friendlies which are open to supporters.

You can have a big part to play for us this season, too. Getting right behind us at home can really help us start the campaign strongly and set some strong foundations.
