Running for two nights, the show is described as a high-energy musical that’s suitable for all ages. Based on the iconic Nickelodeon™ series created by Stephen Hillenburg, the story follows SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends as they try to save their underwater home from impending disaster.
Audiences can expect a soundtrack featuring songs by a star-studded lineup including David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Sara Bareilles, and more.
Directed by Clare Chandler, Programme Leader for Musical Theatre at the University of Lincoln, the show highlights the School of Creative Arts’ commitment to professional practice in performance training. Musical direction comes from Rob Green, an acclaimed composer and actor-musician known for his innovative storytelling style. The production’s choreography is led by Lisa Wilson, a seasoned movement director recognised for her ensemble work and visual storytelling.
The production will be staged at Lincoln Arts Centre, the University’s public-facing creative hub.
