Two arrests in scam probe

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation and possession of criminal property.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in connection with a number of incidents in Lincoln and one in North Hykeham.

Both people have been released on police bail while investigations continue.

The arrests come as police continue to warn communities about scam calls – fraudsters posing as police officers or bank workers to convince the caller to withdraw thousands.

Remember, neither your bank or our police officers will ever ask you for your PIN, bank card, or ask you to withdraw money or buy items on their behalf.

They will also never ask you to verify your personal details or PIN by phone or offer to pick up your bank card by courier.
