We have two tickets to give away to the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers: In Time performance at the New Theatre Royal on Wednesday, March 26.
It will be a thrilling ride through the group’s 30 years and a full theatrical experience, with dynamic choreography and heart-pounding rhythms contrasting with atmospheric soundscapes.
As Europe’s longest-established taiko group, Mugenkyo are widely recognised as the ground-breaking pioneers of this exciting art-form. Thrilling audiences at thousands of performances worldwide, they are now embarking on the final leg of their first major UK tour in over five years with this special birthday bash.
In the intervening years, Mugenkyo have collaborated on World of Gods with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra; provided music for the Hollywood film Tin Soldier in Greece with Jamie Foxx and Robert DeNiro; performed a two-week run at the World Expo in Dubai as well as the BBC TV Tokyo Olympics and a 26-date run at the Adelaide Fringe.
Mugenkyo has also released six albums and three concert DVD’s, making the ensemble the most prolific taiko group outside of Japan.
