Wragby works diversion

Wragby works diversion

Works to rebuild a footpath in Wragby will see a section of the A158 road closed to traffic for a month from January 2.

The works will be carried out at Victoria Street, Wragby between the A158 Lincoln Road and town sign and have a scheduled end date of Wednesday,  February 5, depending on weather conditions.

The signed diversion route will be: B1202 Wragby Road / B1399 Lincoln Road / A158 Lincoln Road and vice versa.

Cllr Richard Davies, Lincolnshire County Council’s executive member for Highways  explained: “These works will cost around £135,000 to deliver and involve a crew carrying out a lot of work.

“Because of the nature of the work, a diversion route using like-for-like roads will have to be in place. This is for the safety of road users, pedestrians and the work crew itself.

“It’s worth noting that, at time, on-street parking will have to be suspended while the team works from section-to-section.

“This level of local improvement isn’t possible to carry out without some disruption but we will do everything we can to complete the works as quickly as possible, and to keep disruption to a minimum.

“I would like to thank everyone effected for their patience and understanding whilst we are delivering this footpath improvement for Wragby.”
